2 sources I found helpful in learning about color theory:

Class activity for a textiles course that incorporates information on colour theory
In Textile Production 10 there are outcomes in Unit 3 about explaining color theory and describing how colors connect to personality, moods and feelings. I think one interesting project to introduce this concept would be to have students choose an image from a given set to match certain moods (ex. Which painting is the most peaceful? Which invokes the most energy? Anger? etc). Then have students do the same task but ask them to focus only on the colors and not on the picture or drawing. Then you could have a discussion surrounding which is more powerful, the color or the drawing. This could lead into a study of color theory and then you could end the unit with a debate regarding whether or not certain pieces are attractive to the eye or not and have students use their knowledge of color theory to back up their side of the debate.

but if I could comment I would have said that I learned a lot from their use of the terms diad and triad. I had to look these terms up and that caused new learning for me which was great.
